Mark and Amy Sutherland are the parents of four children, ages 5-11, and live near St. Louis, Missouri.

Mark grew up surrounded by military aircraft from around the world, and was inspired at a young age by heroes in uniform. He has been writing for more than 20 years and when writing Being a Blue Angel he flew with the Blues and spent time with the team on Pensacola Naval Air Station.
